Crossbow is a postemergent product that targets woody plants and brush such as blackberries and poison oak, as well as annual and perennial broadleaves, while leaving grasses unharmed. Crossbow achieves excellent control of woody plants and brush and can be applied by all types of sprayers, from hand-held models to tractor-mounted spray rigs. - Very good on tough to kill brushy plants Review by PricklyAshEnemy
-
Quality Price Value I've used this almost exclusively on prickly ash. Roundup brush killer did not work, but Crossbow mixed at a ratio of a pint per 2 gallons of diesel fuel kills about 95% of the prickly ash. A higher success ratio would probably be gained if I sprayed when the plants were actively growing. I spray in the dead of winter (with snow on the ground) to prevent any wind drift from damaging desirable vegetation.

Quality Price Value Over a year ago I talked to yall about Crossbow. The lady I talked to recommended the generic form of Crossbow, Crossroads. I wanted to try it but due to prostate cancer I was so broke that I couldn't afford to pay attention. I wanted the Crossroad to open up deer shooting lanes up to 275 to 300 yards. This year I can afford it and have already sprayed. I have a stand at the beginning of a lane down a thinned out pine row. I probably have a 500 to 600yd shot but at 60 and prostate cancer I aint got the balls to push a 30.06 quit that far. The lane was grown up with sweet gums and a variety of other crap. I used the Crossroad and busted that lane a new one. Well time will tell. I will give yall an update in Dec or Jan.

- Kills poison ivy Review by Pury
-
Quality Price Value This is a great product. We built a house in a field that came complete with LOTS OF poison ivy! I had to seed the yard so it would not wash away but there still was poison. A farmer friend recommended Crossbow and it deliered as promised. No more poison or other broadleafs like milk weed.

- excellent Review by Sassy

Other than using the other grass and weed killers in my gravel driveways I have stopped using them since finding crossbow and trying this product.
No more dead grass along fence lines allowing erosion or a bare spot for weeds to invade.
I also sprayed weeds in area I was reseeding and it killed them dead. All summer only a handful of brush has showed their stalks in that area.(Posted on 7/16/12)

Value Quality Price Crossbow has been used on our small farm for decades. It works on virtually all broadleaf plants/weeds. It will not kill grass.

- Great on Sumac, Thistle, and most nuisance tree growth in cleared areas. Review by Bridman
-
Price Value Quality I was given about a quart of Crossbow from a friend moving from PA to IN.
He believes that he purchsed it in PA. Did no want to ship with household
goods to MN.
My uses was to eliminate Sumac ( I am very alergic to this tree). It's great. Tried it on Japanese Bambo. Had moderate sussucess and then ran out of the small amount from my friend. Unable to buy in the East coast states. Just found it on the website after several searches.
Will try to order some for my property in NY.
My experience is to buy it and try it. Paul(Posted on 7/5/12)

Questions on Crossbow Herbicide Weed & Brush Killer 1 Gallon
- From Bill Missouri at 9/9/12 4:02 PM
- Q: Will this kill trees and how? Do you have to drill throught hte bark or apply to the root growth through a direct root applicatiuon? This concerns crossbow.
- Show Answer
- A: Hello Bill,
This will work on some woody or brush areas, how you use it depends on what you are trying to kill. In some cases you will need to wet the bark near the base of the tree and apply this. Please look at the "product manual" tab on the product page you can find more information on the product there. - Do you find this question helpful? Yes No
