Value Quality Price One would assume there is a thermostat, otherwise the water would get quite hot with a continual 1500W. Therefore, it won't consume as much electricity as stated above.

Value Quality Price fOR THOSE WHO DON'T UNDERSTAND ELECTRICAL USAGE . i BOUGHT THIS VERY HEATER AND IT IS RATED AT 1500 WATTS X 1HR = 1.5 KWH X 24HRS IN A DAY = 32KWH X 30 DAYS AVG PER MONTH= 960KWH PER MONTH. iT WAS BELOW FREEZING THE ENTIRE MONTH OF JANUARY IN OUR AREA AND i'M NOT SURE WHAT YOUR BEING CHARGED FOR YOUR ELECTRICITY. bUT FOR ME THAT AMOUNTS TO .10 AVG COST PER KWH X 960KWH ACTUAL USAGE IN jAN= $96.00 JUST TO KEEP A TUB OF WATER FROM FREEZING. iT WOULD BE MORE ECONOMICAL TO HAVE A SMALL VOLUME PUMP RUNNING INSTEAD.
