Worth every penny. Better for your horse vs a traditional bale of alfalfa and here in Florida it is a much, much better value as well when a bale runs $27-$30 a piece. I feed my 950lb Arabian about 3/4-5/6 of an 8qt bucket twice a day. I fill the bucket of cubes up with water, pour, then fill the bucket again maybe 1/4 of the way up and dump that in as well. He loves them and I don't have to deal with the dusty, scratchy hay.

You do not have to hydrate these but you can. You will need to contact you veterinarian on if alfalfa is ok for feeding.
