Questions on Culvert Plastic 12" X 20' Solid

  • From Darran Pittman at 4/12/14 11:04 AM
    • Q: Is this pipe used for driveway culverts and if it is does it hold up as well as the steel pipe does ,far as drive over weight ,ask a associate there and they didn't know
    • Show Answer
    • A: Hello Darran,

This is a single wall flexible plastic. It can be used for a driveway culvert, however, it would need to be surrounded by rock and have at least 18" of coverage on top.....6" of that being rock. Also, this is not as strong as steel pipe. The advantage would be that the plastic pipe won't rust.
