Brinsea EcoGlow Eco Glow 50 Chick Brooder USHD502
Product Review (submitted on February 13, 2014):
I purchased this item to save on electricity costs. Last year I had 3-4 250w heat lamps burning for two months - our electric bill was astronomical.
This year we are hatching our own eggs early on, and again will need not only the brooder, but possibly heat sources in weeks 5-8.
It is my first day using the EcoGlow 50 on a mail order batch of 50 chicks. They are happy and quiet.
I don't see it being good to use past the first couple of weeks as the birds get bigger and more curious, but as a first brooder, it is ideal.
