- Q & A
Product QuestionsI'm wondering what the AH (amp hour ) rating is on this battery. Most deep cycle batteries have
this information available. I tried Exide's website, but this particular battery is not listed, perhaps it is a contract item for retail at rural king only.
The 110 minutes/ 75 amps (reserve capacity) is not telling me exactly what i'd like to know.
My intended use is for solar panel energy storage, so the AH rating is pretty important jn determining how long I can run certain loads off the battery bank.
Thanks in advance. Is this a deep cycle battery ? My electric golf cart requires (8) six volt deep cycle batteries. Do you have that many in stock?Question by: Bill on Feb 4, 2014 6:48:41 PMHello,
I spoke with our Automotive Department. They said that this is a deep cycle battery. We would be able to check a stores stock for you if you would like to provide the store you would be visiting. Thank youAnswer by: D.J. (Admin) on Feb 27, 2014 8:37:53 PMWhat is the max safe discharge amount that will not damage the battery or reduce its life? What is the max charge rate that is safe and keep the maximum life of the battery? Also if you can recommended charging voltage, timing etc.Question by: Joshua on Jan 12, 2015 7:37:37 PMHello Joshua,
The recommendation is to not go below 80% Depth Of Discharge. However, it is even more important not to leave the batteries at a low State of Charge for a prolonged period of time. That is, if this battery is running low, do not drive without charging when idle (overnight), go ahead and connect to the charger.
