I have made my own vent using tractor valve stems with the stem removed. I am a Giant Eagle fuel perk user which requires me to fill many cans and empty them into my car and this product though over half of the cost of a can, saves me time money and hassle. In the past I had to put my "Good" spouts on the can I am using and use the crap (make sure you spill a lot" spouts for lids only. Now my crap spouts are on the shelf and I can use these. Have not tried the vent cap cause I had already made my own, but glad to have them. What is wrong with the people using the new cans, I dont think the legislators even pump their own gas let, or put 5 gallons using a new can in anything. This solves the problem.
