    • Q: Two ??
      1. What amount of sq ft will the 9,000 BTU heat?
      2. I have two tropical birds and my main concern is the affect this heater would have with their respiratory system. You may not be aware, however, their breathing process is completely different from humans or any mammal as far as that goes and you have to be extremely aware of this in your daily living. As a couple examples that could cause their death. Teflon coated cookware, scented products such as air fresheners or candles and many other things, That being said, my concern would be on their behalf. Any fumes from the propane? Would I definitely have to somehow ventilate? In my totally electric apartment, the likelyhood of storms during the winter is heavy. Please address my concerns as soon as possible for I defintely need to find some sort of temporary heating to keep them warm during an outage. I do not find any totally battery powered space heaters and it seems essential to have some source on hand for emergencies. I thank you for your attention to my concerns.

    • A: Hello,
This heats up to 200 sq ft. I talked with the manufacturer. They said that it wouldn't give of any fume from the propane. They did say that there is a safety feature built in to the unit that if the oxygen gets low in the room the heater will shut off. They said to have a window open with just a crack then that will allow air flow into the room. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
      Thank you
