The Daka 521FB Furnace is a powerful and heavy duty whole-house heating solution. It produces an output of 105,000 BTUs and can heat up to 2,600 square feet. This Daka furnace is ideal for heating large homes or shops, either as a central heating source or as an indoor add-on. 9. Summers Heat 3000 sq. ft. Add-On Wood Furnace 50-SHW35

Summers Heat 3000 sq. ft. Add-On Wood Furnace 50-SHW35

    $1,399.97

It's no wonder this is called “work horse” of the stove family. The Add-On Furnace can hook into your home’s ductwork to supplement your existing heating system, or you can “dump” the heat directly into a workshop or other large area. The large, 850 cfm blower with thermostat pushes hot air through an 8 in. hot air outlet on the top of the stove, and if this hot air is routed into your home’s existing ductwork, it can heat up to 3,000 sq. ft.!

Also, Summers Heat was the first to put a viewing glass on the door of the furnace, which means that you can check on your fire from the top of your stairs if the stove is in a basement, or from across the room if you place it in a large area. This furnace burns wood, and we’re talking about big wood: the 4.7 cu. ft. firebox accepts logs up to 25 in. long, and a huge ash pan below the firebox means that you will have ample room to collect the ash from those big logs!  Now comes with brass and nickel handle sets, so that you can decide which look you like for your home.

    Product Features:

    Efficiency:

    • Heats up to 3,000 sq. ft. when fed into your existing ductwork; supplements existing furnace
    • Reliable design provides for long life and more efficiency (Product is not EPA Certified)
    • Large 850 CFM blower aids in whole-house heat circulation

    Value:

    • Cast iron doors and quality steel body promise years of durable service
    • Blower (and thermostat for blower) included for an added value of nearly $300
    • Brass and nickel handle set are both included – choose whichever look suits your home best

    Convenience:

    • Accepts big logs – up to 25 in. long (in a 4.7 cu. ft. firebox), which means less log cutting than with smaller stoves
    • Extra-large ash drawer for easy ash removal
    • 6 in. top vent fits standard stove pipe and allows for easier installation
    • This was the first add-on wood furnace to include a standard viewing glass – check on your fire from across the room or the top of your stairs
    • 8 in. hot air outlet can feed into ductwork or dump into your room (great for heating a shop area, for example)

    Quality and Charm:

    • Satin black steel body with cast doors and spiraled handles make this a practical addition to your home or shop
    • Cast iron door with door glass and air wash system offers a clear view of the fire
    • Meets UL and CSA standards for product safety
    • Proudly made in U.S.A. and supported by the Technical Support staff

People started using wood heaters many years ago, known more commonly as a wood stove. A wood heater/stove is a heating appliance that has come a long way, since the days of the cast iron wood stoves, at first they did not even have a blower to circulate the heat, and they burnt just wood and/or coal. While you can still purchase the traditional cast iron wood stoves, there are many more types available.

The 240 lb. Hopper Multi Fuel Furnace is able to burn corn, pellets and other fuels. The furnace has twin blowers to distribute the heat around your home. There are wood heaters that are in casings that do not get as hot as the cast iron heaters, making them the better choice for families with children who may bump into the stove. There are also wood burning fireplaces and wood burning fireplace inserts. If you want to burn wood there are many choices for you in wood heaters.

You can also get a Shelter Logic Firewood Seasoning Shed to store your wood in to keep it dry and out of the weather. Don't forget the accessories that you need to correctly hook up your wood heater, such as a Drolet Hot Air Plenum Kit - Eco-65 for a Pellet Heater, or the Drolet To the Ceiling 6" Black Pipe Kit to hook your heater up to the flue or chimney. It used to be the norm to heat with wood, but many people switched to different types of heat, however now more people are starting to turn to wood heaters to heat their homes once again. There are several types and brands to choose from and we offer a lot for you to choose from, and the accessories you need to get them hooked up and working in your home.
