Wood pellets are an excellent primary or secondary heating source. They are clean burning, environmentally safe, and are a recyclable energy. Pellets are approximately 1 to 1 ½ ” long and ¼” in diameter. They smell pleasant and are clean and smooth. Wood pellets are easy to use. Simply pour the pellets from your 40 lb. bag directly into your stove’s hopper. Remember to store the pellets in a dry area

When building a fire, you will notice that pellets are easier to start than traditional chopped wood which is usually wet. That’s because our pellets have a superior BTU heating value and are low in moisture content. They’re also long lasting. Another plus is that bags of pellets stack compactly in much less space than a cord of wood.

As a guide, one 40 lb. bag will normally heat a 1,500 sq. ft. home for one day. To determine the amount of pellets you will need, consider these factors: the size of your home, the outside temperature, the amount of insulation in your home, and the desired amount of heat you prefer. After a simple trial period, you will easily find out just how many bags of pellets you will use and will be able to stock up for the winter. Finally, pellets are much more economical than propane and are good for the environment--not to mention the easy clean-up due to the low ash content and the fact that you will no longer have an aching back from chopping wood!

Ozark hardwood products pellets plugs the auger up with large chunks of bark about 4-6 inches long that we didn't see when dumping a bag in the pellet stove. they burn very dirty and smoky, glass turns black, so black you can't see if there is any flame going. have to clean the stove every day.

Easy heat pellet no good! Review by Sean

These are the worst pellets I have ever used! Even worse than American wood fiber. They are not high BTU like they claim. Very dirty and high ash content. I normally run my stove between number 2 and 3 heat setting, even in the colder months, rarely do I use 4th or 5th heat setting. With these I am running 3 and 4 (as a norm) and max setting (5) just to compensate at times and we have had a mild winter so far. I am having to clean my stove twice as often as with the other pellets I usually buy. It's not uncommon to have to shut the stove down and clean the burn pot entirely out every two days. Normally I go a good week straight with out having to turn my stove off to clean. Unfortunately I bought 3 ton of these with out trying a few bags first, lesson learned!!

Burn good if they don't have any mositure in pellets Review by Leeann McCarty

If there is any moisture in the pellets you will have more soot build-up and ash. The pellets can look dry but you can tell by the way they burn. As long as they are good and dry they burn good and put out lots of heat but if they have some moisture in them they don't.

I just finished burning thru one ton and didn't notice anything inferior about the product. Seemed to put off plenty of heat and didn't notice any amount of dust in bag. I don't understand the other comments about bad product. This is better than the other pellets I've used.

Heat was pretty average, but the soot was dirty and build up on the glass like none I have every had before, even turned my glass a bit of a greenish black that I can't completely remove. Would never buy this pellet again.

American wood fiber products are an absolute joke. In using my pellet stove now going twenty years these are the worst pellets I've ever purchased. And if they carry the same brand next year I will go somewhere else and buy them.

Bough 10 bags of thermal glo's and noticed when I got home that all 10 bags had the premium and ash content swiped out with a sharpie. What the heck?!?! Other than that the thermal glo's are alright, about average heat and not bad ash but they are a little long which tends to cause a squeak in my feed auger. PelPro PP130

American Wood Fiber. After 2 bags of this stuff, glass solid black, burn pot jammed with clinkers. Moisture content so high that for the first time in 4 years of burning, I could see moisture vapor from the chimney. Rural King should be embarrassed.

American Wood Fiber's Premium Hardwood Pellet Fuel has met our expectations. There are a lot of low quality pellets out there that we have tried; we are sticking with these. Regular price of 4.99 per bag is a bit pricey compared to what they were just a year ago, but they were on sale a while back for 3.99 per bag. Waiting for another sale to buy 2 more ton.

Looking at the site, are wood pellats only available online?? The shipping cost is double the cost of the pellets($199.50 for a ton, Additional $360 for shipping) I'd be better off going to Home Depot or Lowes at that cost if so!!
