Havoline oil appears to be kind of an underground secret in the rotary engine communities. It was recommended as an upgrade to the Castrol GTX oil I had previously used in my supercharged 13 B engine. The Havoline chemistry appears to better condition the oil control rings. The bottom line after a complete oil pan reseal, filter change, and oil change is rather incredible. This motor had always put a few drops of oil down now and then. That has stopped completely. Oil consumption (yes, rotaries use an oil metering pump to burn a small quantity of oil at all times) has been cut by at least half. The car now runs smoother and trust me with an engine balanced out to 11,000 r.p.m. this is something you can "feel." Rural King had excellent pricing on this even with tax and shipping to my door. I am seriously considering switching to Havoline on my other cars and truck.

- Solid for High Performance Review by JPJR

This was my summer oil choice I put in my '76 Suburban with a 468 CID engine (454 bored .030 over stock). Ran it like a scalded ape in the summer months and the 20W50 stood up to the insane punishment. I used the Havoline 5W40 synthetic in the winter months for easier starting and flow in the Indiana winters. No complaints.
