Perfect for Guinea Pig Review by Peter Austin

If you have a guinea pig, especially one that is ill or has feet problems, this is the perfect solution. If absorbs well and keeps him dry. No wire cage bottoms please! Terrible for their feet. Put this on two layers of paper towel on top of several layers of newspaper. Change two to three times a day. This is the solution to a healthy GP. It's quite a lot of work but this bedding makes it easy. And give him lots of greens for Vitamin C that they cannot generate themselves (like us). And Timothy hay to keep their teeth right. Our GP is nine years old which makes him ancient and good husbandry / nursing care like this is the answer to them living to a ripe old age happily. But keep them dry as their pee and poop is a real issue in maintaining good health.

Excellent for our guinea pig Review by Peter

Our guinea pig got very ill - basically bad hygiene I am embarrassed to say. The vet thought he'd had it but our guinea pig and I weren't going for that. He put up a valiant fight and is doing great but a key thing was the nursing care and important there has been keeping him nice and dry. This material is excellent - we have been changing his bedding 2 - 3 times a day and he seems to be fine now. Guinea pigs can quickly go under and meticulous bedding attention is essential. This is the way to go, but be ready to change the bedding every 8 to 12 hours if you really want him clean and free from the risk of disease / foot infections.
