Excellent implement Review by Schoenomfs

Just used my new 4' tiller this weekend. Virgin ground that was taking MULTIPLE passes with large disc was prepared to plant with a single pass with the tiller. No exaggeration. Understand you must literally creep along to make it a single pass, but it saved hours of work with a disc. On a plot that had been previously worked with a disc it was the same result but I was able to go at a slow speed instead of a "creep". Once my seed was cast I set the tiller level so it just turned a couple of inches deep to cover seed. This served just like a "plot master" without the seed spreader. There is absolutely no way a plot master could do this on a single pass. I was attached to a 25 hp New Holland tractor.
Highly recommend this tiller for food it's or gardens. The 4' was perfect for tight small plots.

Purchased this unit from RK, while on sale. I used it to turn three acres of deer plot , took about an hour an acre in turned soil. Maybe twice that in unturned. Only complaint is overworking the ground, I need to drop the shoes next use. Overall well built with nice welding quiet smooth operation ,unlike my old chain. You can buy with confidence.

One heavy duty, tiller Review by Don

After having spent countless hours researching the internet for a tiller, I settled on the, King Kutter, l l, 48 in offset, gear drive tiller. (READ THE OWNER"S MANUAL BEFORE USING THE TILLER!) I bought a new 2013, Kubota B-2920, 29hp tractor, to replace my old, 79 Kubota B-7100 16hp tractor and Kubota tiller. (NOTE) Make sure you are able to shorten the PTO shaft, if need be. I had to shorten mine 3 inches. A bit of a chore, and for someone not having the know how or the tools, well, ..... that is the only negative. However, I believe most tillers you find, may need the PTO shortened. In my opinion, it will be hard to find a more rugged, heavy duty tiller, for the price. Installed the tiller, and put it to work! WoW! What a work horse! It did a great job, and I have no complaints. The Kubota dealer wanted $2350 for a tiller, and I was able to get him down to, $1900, with out tax. Bought this tiller, with added 1 year warranty, and tax, out the door, for $1537.28. Sorry, but I work had for my money. I'm 70, and take my word. This tiller will be around, long after I'm gone to heaven! Tell them, "DON SENT YOU!" You wont get a discount, but you will leave them wondering who Don is. God bless!

King Kutter 48in PTO Tiller Works Well Review by Spoon

Had a friend bring his out his tractor and this attachment to bust up our garden plot that has sat untilled/unplanted for a few seasons by the folks that used to reside here. The soil is a bit on the clay side and was really too wet...but it's Missouri black farm dirt. Our little plot is only 35X100 and it took him two passes (up and across) to churn it up to where the Cadet tiller could work it to plantable stage with little effort after it dried out a bit.

These units are gear-driven powerhouse for the 'average Joe'. The tractor he has is a diesel 25hp. It delivered plenty of power at the PTO to operate this seemingly well-built/designed tow behind tiller. The tractor never slowed and the tines never bounced or hung on the KK tiller with the load he was giving it at max depth. I think this was an excellent 'test' for the unit. It really performed in breaking and beating up the fairly hard, clay type of soil down to greater than 6 inches on its first pass. It was only the tillers second or third time in the ground.

If'n I had the wherewithal...I wouldn't hesitate to obtain one and give it a workout. Thankfully he came out to do this chore or I'd have been digging at it for better than a week with the Cadet, just to get close to where this unit did on the minimal two passes it made.

    • Q: Willl theKing "Kutter 48" Tiller TG-48-Y
SKU: 00606304" attach with the John Deere I-Hitch 2305 PMQH100?

    • Show Answer
    • A: Hello,

The 2305 John Deere should have a TG-48-XB or a TG-54-XB tiller. This is a sub-compact tractor and the TG-48-Y would be to big for that tractor. The I-hitch will not work on any of the mentioned tillers.
