Value Quality Price The Lodge 10" skillet makes a lifetime wedding, birthday, anniversary, or just an "anyday" gift for someone special. I am adding the cookbook "A Skillet Full" to my gift. The cookbook not only has recipes, but gives instructions on how to care for the cast iron skillet made in the USA by Lodge.

Value Quality Price This is a historically acurate compliation of recipes featuring quality cast iron cookware from the southern U,S, The recipes are the best kind because they are submitted by individual cooks and no one likes to submit a "bad" recipe if their friends are goings to see it.
Did you know they have "desert" recipes cooked in cast iron? I didn't. The book is divided up into the traditional divisions from starters to desserts and indicate what type of cast iron pan is favored.
It also gives history of the Lodge Cast Iron Foundry, the oldest cast iron manufacturer in the U.S. I have some really great cast iron pans from great-grandmother, but what I tried to buy new was junk. I am going to look them up!(Posted on 7/16/12)
