Control pond muck the natural way with Nutri-Sorb. Specially formulated with naturally occurring bacteria which augment the existing bacteria in your pond that reduce organic pond sediment.
Nutri-sorb is a specific blend of gram-negative bacteria (below) which aids in the production of enzymes that digest mucky material such as grass clippings, leaf litter, dead algae cells and plant matter, and other organic elements of pond sediment.
Gram-negative bacteria are known for their tenacity, and are very active compared to gram-positive bacteria. This results is an effective and potent enzyme production.
Biological products such as Nutri-sorb do not kill aquatic plants. Nutri-sorb helps to restore the natural balance by allowing enzymes to degrade organic materials and naturally reduce nutrients needed for plant growth.
NUTRI-SORB’s bacteria produce the following enzymes: Amylase, Cellulase, Keratinase, Ligninase, Lipase, Pectinase, Protease, and Xylanase.

- Q & A
Product Questionsgood morning. I just received 25# of Aquatic Control Nutri Sorb and would like advise on applications.
My swim pond is oval, approximately 75ft x 200ft with the center depth of 6-9ft, shallower on one end than the other.
We have battled algae for years and used bacteria and enzymes and chemicals to treat.
We would like to get it balanced without chemicals, using only bacteria and enzymes.
We have ground water tables in our area heavy in nitrates from potato farmers.
We have added 2 gallons of enzymes this week and are ready with water temp approaching 60 degrees.
I was thinking that an initial dose on the heavy side about 1/2 pail say 12.5 pounds.
Thank youQuestion by: Sharon on Apr 16, 2015 8:29:00 AMHello,
I have reached out to the manufacturer and this is what they stated:
Based on the sizes and the recommended label recommendations, the maximum rate would be 6 lb. of Nutri-Sorb to this pond. I am not aware of an issue with applying more, but I think that applying according to the label and continuous applications every 2-3 weeks will accomplish more than a “super” dose at the beginning.
As far as the Phycomycin applications go, I am not aware of any major effects on the bacteria, but there could be some oxidation of the bacteria in the immediate areas. Phycomycin works very quickly and is a very localized treatment, so it shouldn’t drastically affect the bacteria levels/treatment program.
Please let me know if you have any more questions.
