Customer Reviews

Assembly instructions not included. Review by Aya

Rural Kings service is excellent. Formex however, should include printed assembly instructions in the box, especially for a $700+ item. Apparently Formex wants the customer to download the instructions from their website. The PDFs for the large coop instructions does not function properly, will not open. Tried to download 6 times before contacting Formex to request they mail a copy to me. If all you need is the PDFs for constructing a stand for your coop, that pdf downloads without problem.

Too costly when compared to others made of wood. Review by Blanche McFadden

It was a disappointment for the price. I returned it and for slightly more money I bought a coop that has twice the room and sturdy wood quality. I would only suggest it for a 4H project or if one only had no more than 5 or 6 chickens.

LOVE IT Review by Kristle Rudd

We have had ours over a year. We have 8 hens. We love it. Will purchase more when we expand. Perfectly easy to put together and relocate. Thank you.

Easy way to a nice chicken coop. Review by Cheryl

I was expanding my flock and didn't have time to build something. This coop was the perfect answer.
The designers thought of everything: trays on the floor that pull out for easy cleaning, nest boxes with "privacy screens," carbiner locks on every door (and each carbiner attaches to its door so you don't lose it!). Every part of the coop can be opened for easy access, then locked up to keep out predators.
I'm not usually a fan of plastic, but it sure is easier to keep clean than wood.
It was simple to put together, but required a bit of muscle to make some of the pieces snap into place. My son and I built it in about 20 minutes.
Note that this coop doesn't have room for feed and water. You'll need to give the girls a covered area outside for that.
