Bought 2. 1 for ducks and 1 for chickens. Latches are breaking. Parts don't line up. Fencing is bending in on the sides. They will make a bonfire as soon as I can replace them.

Same problems with the shoddy construction and cheap use of materials with this coop. For the money you can buy the materials and build your own coop that would be much more durable. Would not recommend

I bought one in April and by September the entire thing was falling apart and rotting from the weather. Who build designs something like this and uses particle board exposed? Do not buy this. Buy something else that will last for at least 2 years. This one will not even last one season.

like others have said this is junk! we bought ours in spring/early summer and it is now late fall, the nesting box has fell off and is now propped up by blocks, all the wood is delaminating and falling apart...

plain and simple even for a "hobby" farm or FS farm project do not waste your time and money!!

poor quality Review by Shirley

Bought this coop to house my baby chicks in. It is very poorly and cheaply made. The little latches that close the doors are so small and cheap you can barely get them to latch. Bought it in Sept. by the other post here I expect it not too last very long. It is not worth any of the $269.00 I paid for it. Very poor work ethics went into this coop.

We bought this chicken coop in February of this year. It is sept. of the same year and the outside of the nesting box rotting and falling apart. Nesting boxes inside falling apart. It is small and is enough room for about 3 to 4 not the 6 chicken they make you buy at rural king.

Don't Buy This Item! Review by Cathy Lawson

My 13 year old daughter has wanted chickens for over a year now, and she spent her own money to buy this coop back in March. By July the boards were all terribly warped and getting moldy, the three doors on it have never really opened well (being worse when the boards were wet), and now the nesting section is sagging and not able to hold our chickens (which are just now starting to lay) weight. This has been a HUGE disappointment, as she was so proud to buy it herself, and it looked like it was going to be good quality. She's very upset about it, and wishes she'd not wasted her money on it. We could have built our own very sturdy coop for less money than she spent on this one.

OK so i had it a couple months and it works OK because it does have water that leaks in the nest boxes but i am going to fix that my self and i set mine on bricks so they have a floor to walk on. i am going to buy a mini shed or build my own i only suggest buying it if you live in the city. We live in the area near country land but the city is above us and we don't have many predators.

Decent coop Review by Jen

I like that there is a lot of space for my chickens but I feel there wasn't a lot of thought that went into the design. There isn't a door between the coop and the run to enclose the chickens at night and early on. Removable boards under the roosting bars for easy cleaning would have been nice. The sides and roof are decent but I don't feel this is predator proof as is. There were some large gaps I sprayed foam insulation into to keep predators out and I am going to the hardware store tomorrow to get some lumber and hardware mesh to reinforce the bottom of the coop and under the boxes.

The coop itself isn't terribly high quality and the pre built sections aren't well assembled. Some of the wood pieces were already split upon arrival. It is quite easy to put together. I'm a young woman of average strength and am quite handy and I put this together with the "help" if my two year old in a couple hours. It's all the improvements needed that take time. This coop, with the improvements I made, is a decent coop with plenty of room for the chickens. Hopefully it holds up.

Not safe from Predators Review by Jbaum

This chicken coop is very cute, easy to put together and smells clean even when it's not. I have predator issues, however. A fox or coon has dug holes under and stolen chicks. They have also pushed up through the bottom of the nesting boxes and taken chicks. I have lost six chicks, one by one, over two days. My son is so sad. I am frustrated that this coop is not secure for its purpose.

Easy to put together..mostly Review by becky seip

I am an older woman and I found all three boxes to be manageable by myself to put together. It was pretty simple to put together and did most of it fairly quick. I had a couple issues with the roof gutters and a couple other little things, that is only because the instructions and photos don't show details in the pieces for installation.

It seems a little flimsy, though. There was broken wood off some of it when I got it home and pieces inside the nest box are not sturdy and come off.

It is easy to move around the yard, even without wheels, but wheels will be added.

I hope my 5 chicks like it!

I love it and we only put 6 chicks too for more room. When we opened the box though, part of the pieces had broke off and we had to put it back together so I am not sure how it is going to hold up.
