- The bags were full of black bugs and mold. Review by bob garbacki

Don't buy this. If you do, open it in the parking lot so that if there are any bugs or mold you can save a trip back to the store to return it. I don't know where they package and store this stuff. Buyer beware! Only buy one bag at a time and store it in a cool dry place.
The worst part was that the bugs were still alive when the last of the bags I purchased were opened weeks after I bought these bags of bird food.

alot better product than the millet that most bird seed has, which only feeds the sparrows . this seed keeps all my birds happy.

- Not worth it! Review by Value Consumer
Price Value Quality
Being a avid bird feeder, I have try dozens of different types of food. This is some of the worst, if not the worst bird food I have ever bought. Most of it is cracked corn and a lot cobb trash. If that is not bad enough, it was in such large pieces that the sparrows would not eat it. Most of it went to waste. Terrible product.

- Not worth the $9.95 Review by L. Carlisle
Quality Price Value
Last year I bought the "Rural King Wild Bird Seed" 40lb bag and was not happy with it because there was more cracked corn than any other ingredients, most of it was wasted. So this year I bought the "Country Road, Premium Wild Bird Seed" at Rural King and found it to be worse than last year. The corn is cracked in such large pieces that the birds won't eat it and most of it is on the ground under the feeder. None of the birds eat the sunflower seeds because they are so large. There is a lot of wheat laying on the ground also. So I guess I'm headed for the Community Mills to get the "No waste brand" at least I'll get my monies worth even at $25 per 40 lb bag. There is no waste with that seed, they do eat it all. Most Rural King products are fine, but the bird seed, well that's another matter.

- Bugs that got into my house and took a year to get rid of. Review by Don Woodward
Price Value Quality
I bought a 40 lb of this bird seed and it was mostly corn. When I opened the bag little moths flew out. I keep the bird seed in the garage and a couple of bugs got into the house. They reproduce like rabbits and it took a year to get them out. I bought a bag for my mother-in-law and it had bugs, plus it turned into a solid block after a couple of weeks. You get what you pay for and you don't get much with this bird see. I would have given it no stars if possible.
