Crossbow for Bamboo Review by Robb
Quality
Price
Value

I purchased this product after seeing others claim that it kills Bamboo. Thus far it does seem to have had a damaging effect on the Bamboo.

I would love to hear from others that have had success using Crossbow for Bamboo since I am still in the initial stages to see how they applied it and what the long term success rate was.

My bamboo is inching closer and closer to the house so I am getting pretty worried.

On a side note, it does literally knock out anything I have sprayed it on, including wood like brush near the back of my property.

Rural King offered a quick delivery and the product is well worth the price.

If you can offer application advice for bamboo please email me at rkidwill@yahoo.com.

Good product / good price Review by JLK

This product was recommended to me by a friend as a good weed killer that is safe for pets/animals. It totally did the trick - weeds are dying - it only takes a little bit of this stuff to kill them. Friend recommended added a drop or two of Dawn soap to mix to help it 'foam' and stick to leaves - perfect combination - couldn't be happier.
good price for product - shipping was a little high but it was liquid so probably not the lightest box. I would buy again :)

Great stuff for killing poison oak Review by Paul Master
Quality
Price

I bought a 2.5 gallon container, but it wasn't enough. Our newly acquired 10 acres has tons of poison oak. The Crossbow works really well, and only requires 8 oz per 4 gallons of water. I still have a couple of acres to go, so hopefully this last gallon will do the trick for this year.
In researching, Crossbow has the two ingredients UC Davis recommended for poison oak control.
The 1 gallon had a good price and was quickly delivered.

I read this was about the only produt to kill horsetail. We have an infestation in a lawn and wildflower area.

I used the product one week ago and it appears to have totally killed the horsetail in the wildflower area (along with all the wildflowers, as I knew it would) and an 80% kill rate in the lawn (without killing the grass). I may have to re-treat the survivors in the lawn area.

I was not careful enough spraying and also killed a cantelope vine, so be careful.

Crossbow Herbazide works great. Takes down my wild rose bushes which are up to 6ft. tall and 4' in diameter dead as a door nail. Like the product because it does not kill the grass but kills all the weeds that are in the field. Just ordered a gallon for my Dad.

used to kill ajuga weed (mint) that took over after a surface flood 4 years ago in mowed pasture. seems like everyday i find new 3x3 patches, must have 1/3 acre of it. never ever plant ajuga weed in a wetland type area! ajuga weed is super aggressive in a wetland. convinced it would've taken over every piece of plant real estate we have on 7 acres, so complete destruction is necessary for me and community. i wish nurseries would stop selling ajuga weed. so far crossbow is knocking it down as i find it. not very much winddrift with backpack sprayer and heavy drop sprayer. took 2 weeks to receive, and i live 1/2 way across the country, so i'm OK with that. shipping wasn't too expensive. thanks rural king.

Used this to get my out of control dandelion and clover situation in my backyard fixed once and for all. The products at the large home centers just seem to feed weeds since they quit selling the "good stuff". Put Crossbow down and three weeks later the dandelions and clover are dead. The purchase of this product through Rural King could not have been easier and their speedy delivery was much appreciated.

Crossbow Deathblow Review by Jorge
Quality
Price
Value

I was hesitant to buy this herbicide to deal with a looming clumping bamboo problem in our backyard. We had cut the rhizomes back a number of times with the hope that we could eventually find something to apply that would really deal the bamboo a crippling blow. Enter Crossbow.

Though ruralking's website claims that crossbow works well on bamboo, I couldn't find anything in the product literature to confirm it and Dow Agro wouldn't confirm. OK - no problem - if it doesn't work, we can always use it on english ivy.

I applied Crossbow to both mature bamboo shoots & leaves as well as immature plants and waited a few days. There was no change.

A few more days - no change. The ivy has started to die off, but the bamboo showed no signs of being affected.

Two weeks later - we started to see some browning on the leaves. Three weeks later - the Crossbow had finally done its damage. Dead bamboo and no signs of new shoots emerging.

I don't want to give the impression that this is a one-time application - it isn't. It goes on like an oil-based petroleum and seems to dry with a waxy, gloss to the leaves. For bamboo, you'll need to use the highest concentration ratio (4%) and plan on several applications - I had applied two treatments before we started to see results, but imagine that one treatment would have been sufficient to start to see the effects.

We haven't come across any plant that this stuff won't take down - in the right concentrations. Others have commented that their grass has survived - ours hasn't. Crossbow has dealt a deathblow to everything in comes in contact with.

I'd buy it again - but this isn't your garden store quality herbicide. It's more - much more. Beware how and where you apply it.

Excellent Results with Crossbow Herbicide Review by Richard V Kershner
Price
Value

Simply stated - AMAZING RESULTS!!! This includes a very good product price and excellent customer service from Rural King! Crossbow works where everything else failed. I live in Upstate South Carolina. A neighbor planted English Ivy in 2001. This pretty; but, incredibly invasive English Ivy plant, took over their yard and the large area behind my fenced back property (150' x 50' behind my fence). English Ivy took over and even usurped Kudzu and poison ivy. It has grown to the top of 50-70 foot trees. I tried everything. Nothing worked including Roundup Brush and Vine, Ortho, and etc. In mid-June I ordered a gallon of Crossbow from Rural King. I mixed 2 ounces per gallon. My initial 6-gallons spraying using a hand-pump2-gallon sprayer was incredible. It knocked down the English Ivy jungle that took over my property. Everything is brown and dead. Yes, it takes a while. At least 3-4 weeks for the total brownout results. I just completed my second spraying. I only needed 3-gallons. Most of this second spraying was into new unsprayed areas. I will be able to get to the trunk of the large trees in the fall to cut the English Ivy, Kudzu, and poison ivy vines growing up these large trees. Before Crossbar, the jungle of English Ivy and other plants & vines prohibited venturing into this area. We have copperhead snakes and poison ivy & oak. Bottom line, Crossbar and Rural King delivered! I strongly recommend both Crossbar and Rural King. Great results, good price, and excellent customer service. A win-win-win combination!!!

Quality
Price

I've used this almost exclusively on prickly ash. Roundup brush killer did not work, but Crossbow mixed at a ratio of a pint per 2 gallons of diesel fuel kills about 95% of the prickly ash. A higher success ratio would probably be gained if I sprayed when the plants were actively growing. I spray in the dead of winter (with snow on the ground) to prevent any wind drift from damaging desirable vegetation.

Yall are the greatest ! Review by Harry
Quality

Over a year ago I talked to yall about Crossbow. The lady I talked to recommended the generic form of Crossbow, Crossroads. I wanted to try it but due to prostate cancer I was so broke that I couldn't afford to pay attention. I wanted the Crossroad to open up deer shooting lanes up to 275 to 300 yards. This year I can afford it and have already sprayed. I have a stand at the beginning of a lane down a thinned out pine row. I probably have a 500 to 600yd shot but at 60 and prostate cancer I aint got the balls to push a 30.06 quit that far. The lane was grown up with sweet gums and a variety of other crap. I used the Crossroad and busted that lane a new one. Well time will tell. I will give yall an update in Dec or Jan.
Respectfully Harry S. Coolidge

Other than using the other grass and weed killers in my gravel driveways I have stopped using them since finding crossbow and trying this product.
No more dead grass along fence lines allowing erosion or a bare spot for weeds to invade.
I also sprayed weeds in area I was reseeding and it killed them dead. All summer only a handful of brush has showed their stalks in that area.

I was given about a quart of Crossbow from a friend moving from PA to IN.
He believes that he purchsed it in PA. Did no want to ship with household

My uses was to eliminate Sumac ( I am very alergic to this tree). It's great. Tried it on Japanese Bambo. Had moderate sussucess and then ran out of the small amount from my friend. Unable to buy in the East coast states. Just found it on the website after several searches.
Will try to order some for my property in NY.
My experience is to buy it and try it. Paul
