GREAT WOOD STOVE Review by Richard

I've had one of these for about 8-10 years now and it the greatest thing since sliced bread. The fire box taking a 35-36 log is the best. I love it and cant wait to buy one for the house. I can heat my 60x136x14 foot shop with this alone. Although have waste oil burner also.

Best bang for the buck! Review by Ken

I had to leave this review because the reviews I read helped me decide to purchase this unit from Rural King.

Tonight here in Kentucky we are heading to a record breaking low predicted to be somewhere around -17 below zero.

Yet, my home is warm and I am not burning ANY propane!

I did get a fabricator to make up some duct work for the return air and the up draft connection to my heat pump (with propane emergency heat). Followed to the letter the directions and the thing works like advertised.

I abandoned the draft inducer and did a direct connection to outside air using a 3" elbow used in plumbing made out of black rubber. I cannot damper the amount of air but what does come in seems right on the money.

Rural King is the ONLY place to buy this unit. Their price and shipping made it truly the best bang for the buck.

I have not tried coal but hope to next year. Very nice to have that option.

Thanks Rural King!

Excellant purchase Review by Larry

Purchased stove from Rural King last year lowest price anywhere.
Easy to install and heats our 3000 sq. ft. 100 year old house. Even in below zero weather, we maintain 68-70 degrees and free hot water is a great bonus.

Excellent supplementary furnace. Review by Mike Fellion

The 1802 has a huge fire box and is built with very good quality. I have a 4000+ square foot house and when stoked and running hot, it easily heats all three floors.
One note, when it is hot, the blowers will not turn off until the firebox area goes below the adjustable temp of 100 to 150.

Very pleased with the stove....I have only used wood up to this point, however when the cold hits, I am going to switch to coal. I am sure I will be even more pleased with the heating ability.

Rural King was excellent to work with. I will most certainly return and do business with them in the future.

Great Stove Review by Richard

I have one of these in my shop and want another for my house I love the long fire Box (36") less cutting, less splitting, less handling. I cant even think of having a shorter fire box, ever. Oh and puts out great heat.

An excellent product and excellent service from Rural King. Review by Chemist

Rural King service is fast and their prices better than their competitors. The delivery was prompt and easy to schedule. I wish we had a retail store near us.
This stove is a more recent model of the one I bought 20 years ago that is still in use in our old house. I bought this one to heat our store building. The Clayton furnace firebox is better designed and more efficient than the two other wood furnaces I have used. The tapered bottom makes the wood settle as it burns, leaving no residue in the box.
The firebox is made of heavy welded steel and very durable.

1802g wood/coal furnace Review by Skinny

Price was a great deal and the value excellent.
Problem I had with it was one side of the casing was caved in
If you order one of these have them open it before they even move it off the truck.

How hot does the outside of the unit get? Also, does the room the unit is in get crazy hot?
We had an indoor woodstove for years that would run you out of the room it was in
