I went there looking for a portable ac unit and to return a window unit I bought from a different Rural King location. The window unit was brand new in the box, but I had to return it because I didn't have help to install it. James was at the desk when I walked in and I explained the situation. He was so amazing! He was so kind, friendly, knowledgeable, and had a great positive attitude. He offered to bring in the ac to be returned. James went right to my car, was very polite to my husband, opened the trunk and carried the heavy air conditioner with one arm into the store like it was a loaf of bread on his shoulder. He never skipped a beat when his coworker needed help outside and said he would finish my return then go back to help her out. We are in the middle of a heat wave and he handled every interaction with me and those we encountered with a level of customer service and care that I have not witnessed in a very long time. He seems to really love his job, his coworkers and customers. Everything positive about my experience at the Effingham Rural King was because of James and his positive attitude. He is a true blessing, especially for a hardworking young man in 100⁰ temperatures. I wished I could've hired him to do a few things around my house, but I decided it may be a conflict of interest with his job so I decided not to ask. I don't know his family, but they did an excellent job and he did all the work to become the wonderful young man he is. I would give him 10 stars if I could. Thank you so much, James! View on Google
